Aluminium Flat Bar All of our aluminium flat bars are extruded. The extrusion process produces bars that have square edges. Unlike sawn plate or guillotined sheet, the corners of the section are smooth, not sharp. The majority of our flat bars are supplied in grade 6082T6. This is a good general engineering grade. Aluminium flat bars in 6082T6 are suitable for machining, tapping and drilling. It has good strength properties and is used in structural applications. They can also be welded. They have excellent anti-corrosive properties and are suitable for polishing, powder coating and anodising. Aluminium flat bars are used in a wide variety of applications. The smaller sections are often used as decorative trims, small spacers and thresholds. The larger sizes are often machined to size to create components for the automotive and rail industries, for components for material handling machines and weighting & packaging machines Delivery Info.
