The majority of our flat bars are supplied in grade T6061. This is a good general engineering grade. Aluminium flat bars in T6061 are suitable for machining, tapping and drilling. It has good strength properties and is used in structural applications.

All of our aluminium flat bars are extruded. The extrusion process produces bars that have square edges. Unlike sawn plate or guillotined sheet, the corners of the section are smooth, not sharp. The majority of our flat bars are supplied in grade T6061.
